Truth Initiative leads policy initiatives and supports young leaders to advocate for healthier communities. We inspire, educate, and mobilize young leaders, coalitions, and organizations to act nationally and in their communities to prevent youth and young adult nicotine addiction and empower quitting for all.

Research and evaluation

Our best-in-class research is conducted through the Truth Initiative Schroeder Institute – a widely respected research center that produces independent research to provide the evidence for policy change and evaluate the programmatic work of the organization – and our Innovations Center, a leader in cessation research that develops, evaluates, and provides the expert insights behind our market-leading cessation program EX Program.

Youth Activism

​Enlisting and empowering youth and young adults is an important part of the movement to make commercial tobacco use a thing of the past. Truth Initiative trains and inspires young people to take action in their communities as truth community leaders, college leaders and ambassadors.

Featured Community Projects

Truth Initiative encourages young people to take action in their communities by developing and implementing local commercial tobacco control projects. From a documentary on the infiltration of menthol cigarettes into the African-American community to a children's book encouraging Native American youth to reject tobacco, young people across the nation are engaging, educating and empowering their community members to end tobacco use.

This is Quitting

The first-of-its-kind program to help young people quit vaping, This is Quitting has helped over 750,000 youth and young adults on their journey to quit vaping. Learn more about how it works and the additional resources available for parents of young vapers and for adults who want to quit.
