Quitting vaping in 2026: Top tips and resources

2026 could be the year for you or someone you care about to quit vaping. According to a Truth Initiative survey, 67% of young adults ages 18-24 plan to quit for the new year.

There are many reasons why people want to quit vaping, including financial cost, environmental concerns, freedom from addiction, and influence from family and friends.

According to survey results, most (62%) of young adults who use nicotine reported that they want to quit within the next year to improve their physical or mental health.

By quitting nicotine, people can take control of their mental and physical health while gaining hope, confidence, and peace of mind.

Quitting nicotine offers both short- and long-term health benefits: nicotine addiction can increase stress and intensify symptoms of depression and anxiety, and nicotine use can harm the developing brain and make young people more susceptible to addiction later in life – making quitting an important step toward improved mental health. Quitting smoking also greatly reduces the risk of developing diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, and quitting vaping may reduce the risk of certain health conditions.

Whatever reasons may be motivating you or someone you care about to quit, here are some top tips and resources.
